1. Introduction

Welcome to Float Note, owned and operated by 19 BIT FZC LLC, UAE. Float Note lets you quickly capture voice notes through a convenient floating widget, keeping all of your recordings and session structures private and stored directly on your own device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a transparent user experience regarding your data.

2. Audio Recordings & Local Storage

On-Device Storage: All voice notes (both short and long recordings) and session structures are stored locally on your device, in a directory you choose upon first launch or via the app settings.
No Server Uploads: We do not upload, transmit, or store any audio recordings on external servers or Firebase. Your recordings never leave your device.

3. Permissions Required

Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used to capture your audio notes.
Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used to display the floating widget on top of other apps for quick access.
Storage / Storage Access Framework (SAF): Used to let you select and save recordings to a custom local directory of your choice.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

Analytics & Diagnostics: We use Google Firebase (Crashlytics & Analytics) strictly for monitoring app crashes, performance diagnostics, and non-identifiable usage logs.
Advertising: We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID / AAID) for ad delivery and analytics.

5. Accounts & Data Retention

No Account Required: No account creation or login is required to use Float Note.
Local Data Erasure: Since all user content (audio files and session data) is stored locally, deleting notes or uninstalling the app permanently erases all app data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Float Note is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older (target audience 18+ on the Google Play Store). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
